Our tenth year - it's been a long ride!

Fantastic weather, great surf and exceptional contestants made for an outstanding Atlantic Bodysurfing Contest - our tenth year running.

This year, the Manasquan Lifeguards and associated staff were awarded the Douglas McCarthy Sportsmanship Award for keeping the contestants' safe during the course of the contest. Thank you to the Manasquan Village Historical Society, Mayor and Council of Manasquan, Surfrider's Foundation and all of our sponsors for making the Atlantic Bodysurfing Club's 2010 Contest another great one.

Our judges this year said that the contestants were all superb, making it very difficult to come up with the top three bodysurfers in each class. The Atlantic Bodysurfing Club gives a special thank to Eric Kovats, John Govel, Jim Walsh and Liz Kovats for all of their hard work during the Tournament. Special thanks to Danica Kovats, Cullen Kovats, Michael Ossino and Jordan Flores for helping out and being everyplace, all at once, when we needed an extra hand. An additional thank you to Bill and Dee Lynch for keeping us from being blown away during our tent set-up.

As always, we are particularly appreciative of the Manasquan vendors who, even in these difficult economic times, exemplified Manasquan's generous spirit. This year's sponsors contributed prizes for our contest winners and included:
