This is a great big thanks and congratulations to all the contestants that made the Atlantic Body Surfing Club Championships a success on August 9, 2003. Though other portions of Big Sea Day were "called" due to rain, to the extent that our Body Surfers get soaking wet, the rain really didn�t hold us up. Good wave conditions allowed all of the contestants to put on a show for our crowd of cheering onlookers. A huge thank you to our sponsor, Outback Steakhouse of Bricktown, Chris Kovats and all of his crew for providing fantastic prizes - Springsteen Concert Tickets, Yankee Tickets, Blue Claws Tickets and a variety of certificates for other restaurants in and about the area. A special thank you to Doug Terry at Landmark Sportswear and Mike Brown at Inlet Outlet for their continued support. Special thanks to Tom O'Neill and Bob Duerr of Surf Riders Foundation for their continued support. A special thank you to our volunteer judges, John Govel, Jim Walsh and Doug McCarthy for their patience and officiating skills. A special appreciation to Kenney, Gross, Kovats,
Campbell and Pruchnik for the Giants tickets. Thanks again to Noel Hood, Squan Village Historical Society, Mayor and Manasquan Council for allowing the Club to be a part of the celebration.
